Jane Bierdeman-Fike, NASW Social Work Pioneer®, passed away March 13, 2012.
Jane Bierdeman-Fike served on the NASW National Board of Directors. She also served on the NASW Missouri Chapter Executive Committee as Vice-President, elect in 1975, and as President, elected in 1977. She is a recipient of the 1995 NASW Missouri Chapter Social Worker of the Year Award and 2004 NASW Lifetime Achievement Award. Read more.

Jane, I give thanks for the contributions which you have made to the NASW Foundation. I am a Social Work Student who wants to make a difference in the lives of many, just as you have. If is sad that we have to say goodbye to you now but I know you are in a better place.
