Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development

The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW), the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW), and the International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW) initiated a discussion to develop a Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development in June 2010. The following four areas provided the framework for the agenda:

  • Social and economic inequalities within countries and between regions
  • Dignity and worth of the person
  • Environmental sustainability
  • Importance of human relationships
