What do we know about the therapeutic role that animals play in the emotional lives of children. Human-Animal Interaction (HAI) and Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) offer emerging new evidence supported practices to assist children strengthen empathy, trust and attachment, and relational competence. Animal Assisted Social work offers new perspectives on the importance of animal in the lives of children and families and can be a valuable tool to improve positive youth development and mental health outcomes. This webinar will explore the exciting new field of Animal Assisted Social Work with children and will showcase some of the many benefits associated with Human-Animal Connection.
