Understanding the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children
We often think of trafficking victims as being foreign nationals held in bondage in other countries. This webinar will present an overview of commercial sexual exploitation
and domestic minor sex trafficking to discuss what this issue looks like in the United States. It will examine the factors that put youth at risk for this type of exploitation, and explore how youth are recruited into and trapped in the commercial sex industry. Best practices for engaging with exploited youth will be reviewed. In particular, this presentation will focus on the commercial sexual exploitation of girls and young women.
