The 2018 NASW National Conference is right around the corner and we are planning an exciting schedule that includes some very special evening events! The 2018 conference, slated for June 20-23, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C., is the ultimate gathering of more than 2,000 social workers, social work thought leaders, and like-minded individuals.

Join us for wonderful opportunities to build your social work community, participate in unique professional development seminars, earn 20+ CEUs, and hear renowned keynote speakers – including CNN commentator Van Jones, our 2018 keynote presenter; and, New York Times best-selling author, Gretchen Rubin, our 2018 closing presenter.

That’s not all! We also are planning some exciting evening events. Here is a brief preview:

  • Day 1, June 20 – Join us as we celebrate the social work profession at our Welcome Reception. It is an opportunity to enjoy a relaxed evening, meet with colleagues, and explore the Exhibit Hall. The reception will include a delicious selection of food options, including carving stations and sweet dessert temptations. A cash bar will be available.
  • Day 2, June 21 – Attend the 2018 NASW National Conference Film Festival, which will feature three films: “Almost Sunrise,” “The Rape of Recy Taylor,” and “Check It!”
  • Day 3, June 22 – Join us for an unforgettable evening, A Night At The Awards, A Night To Remember, as we honor the recipients of the NASW National Awards and the NASW Foundation Awards. The evening features fabulous food, live music and an inspiring group of social work honorees!
