Metro DC Chapter, NASW Says:
February 7th, 2008 at 6:08 pmEsther Glasser was a beloved member of the Metro DC Chapter. Over the past 5 years, Esther has attended chapter events less frequently than earlier years, but her presence was always with us. Not a month went by that someone didn’t call to ask if I’d seen Esther lately or called to tell me about his/her delightful visit with Esther. Esther had a way of energizing and inspiring people, making them feel proud of having chosen social work as their profession. She will be deeply missed and dearly remembered.

February 7th, 2008 at 10:42 pmEsther’s indomitable spirit, sunny disposition, and lively interest in current events prevailed ’til the end of her life. Her strong dedication to justice, the welfare of children, and the advancement of an egalitarian society under-girded her remarkable career as a social worker and advocate. Our lovely conversations will linger on with me. I am thankful for all that she, along with her husband, Mel, gave to the advancement of the social work profession and the welfare of 20th century USA.
